Solstice

A boutique condominium development on Montreal's prestigious De la Montagne street. Winner of the Special Jury Prize and Grand Prix People's Choice Award at the Habitat Design Awards, 2019.

1020 De la Montagne is a residential building project of 329 condominium units and 3,000 sq. ft of ground floor retail space. The development is located in bustling De la Montagne street, close to Montreal's famous home of ice hockey, the Bell Centre.

The interior design of this cutting edge building puts locally sourced materials at the fore, making it truly Montrealer. This is combined with a distinctive nordic flare. Local and world-renowned ceramist Pascale Girardin was commissioned to enliven both the lobby area and luxurious thalasso treatment centre, allowing her to work in her home town for the first time in her career.

Additional amenities include a generous lobby with concierge service, owners' lounge, small business center, wine cellar and degustation room, gym, yoga room, pool area, dry and wet sauna, and terrace-side jacuzzi.

As Senior Designer, I managed a team of five Juniors Designers and Technicians, overseeing the interior spaces, common areas and unit layout. This included advising on space layout, material selection, plan review, code and regulation conformity. It also involved leading meetings on a weekly basis with clients, investers, the marketing team, suppliers and consultants.
