New store concepts for one of Canada's leading telecoms providers
Fido, one of Canada’s leading telecom providers, commissioned GHA to create a new store concept.
The store designs featured heavy use of dark wood pared with dark colour, and bespoke furniture pieces for displaying new products and technology. The flexible concept was rolled out over several years, and was designed to adapt to the specific needs of each store type (flagships, main stores, kiosks, dealer stores etc.) As the concept matured, tweaks were made and new pieces of built-in furniture were added to adapt to new products or new ways of working.
As a Junior Designer on the first roll-out project, my role, as a junior, was mainly technical, including plan production, site surveys, design criteria and analysis. During this process, I became familiar with brand guidelines as well as retail environment design criteria.
