Opel Junior
A showroom kiosk designed for the launch of Opel's highly customisable car, the Adam
With the launch of its new car, targeted at a younger, more design-savvy clientele, Opel needed a way to highlight the high level of customisation offered. Codenamed 'Junior' (and eventually named the Opel Adam), the car offered more personalisation options than other Opel cars, and was given a dedicated space within showrooms.
The "lab" concept was devised, playing on the mad scientist idea where clients where invited to create and personalise their own unique car.
Being part of the initial brainstorming team and leading focus groups provided a truly unique insight into the automotive world. I was involved in the wider working group, collaborating with other consultants such as Vice, and took part in the final client presentation.
