ITEM Homewares
A high end homewares store in Montréal's
fashionable Griffintown district
Fraser Furniture decided to rejuvenate their brand by renaming themselves as Item, and relocating to the bustling Griffintown neighbourhood of Montréal.
Item's curated selection of designer furniture and accessories was showcased within the impressive brutalist concrete space, split over two levels. We collaborated with one of Montreal's leading branding agencies to blur the lines between interior design and interactive experience. A diamond-shaped 3-dimensional wall extrusion was build, and then digitally mapped, allowing for different animations to be projected onto its multiple faces simultaneously.
A flexible shelving system was designed and integrated to allow for easy reconfiguration of the store layout allowing for employees to manage the store layout rapidly.
I was initially brought onto this project as technical support, then rapidly pushed forward to be the main point of contact for the client.
